VFR conditions through the TAF period. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms are still possible for all TAF sites through 02Z
this evening, with VRB wind gusts up to 35 kts. Winds should turn
east/southeast behind the convection before returning to drainage
overnight.
Tomorrow, southwest winds should weaken and turn northerly by 18Z.
Another round of isolated to scattered showers/thunderstorms is
expected between 21-02Z with gusty outflow winds as the main
threat.

Today`s shower and thunderstorm activity is gradually
diminishing. While most precipitation has fallen north of I-70,
the strongest convection continues to be near the northern
portion of the Utah and Colorado border. Over the next few hours
this activity should come to an end, with the exception of some
lingering showers. Drier air moves in tomorrow, reducing
coverage of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. With that,
confidence is not currently high enough regarding TAF site
impacts to include any PROB30 for tomorrow afternoon.

Today`s shower and thunderstorm activity is gradually
diminishing. While most precipitation has fallen north of I-70,
the strongest convection continues to be near the northern
portion of the Utah and Colorado border. Over the next few hours
this activity should come to an end, with the exception of some
lingering showers. Drier air moves in tomorrow, reducing
coverage of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. With that,
confidence is not currently high enough regarding TAF site
impacts to include any PROB30 for tomorrow afternoon.

.AVIATION...KSLC...Winds will likely persist out of the northeast
following the afternoon thunderstorm, gradually lightening and
veering back to southeasterly by around 02-03z. A couple of isolated
showers may develop off higher terrain before 23z, but will be much
weaker. Light, southeasterly winds will persist overnight, gradually
increasing during the morning hours.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms will gradually decrease in coverage through the
afternoon across northern Utah, likely ending by 01z. Winds will
remain largely light and terrain-driven overnight, but may favor a
southerly component in higher elevations removed from valley
floors.

A few locations will see showers persist into the early AM hours
on Monday morning as a weather system currently over Idaho shifts
eastward across Wyoming overnight. Very little measurable
precipitation is expected with these showers, but winds could be
gusty at times, especially for locations such as KCOD, where the
terrain favors westerly downslope winds.
Monday looks to be much drier than Sunday, but isolated virga
showers are possible (10% chance) after 08/1800Z, and could
produce brief erratic wind gusts 30 to 40 kts in the immediate
vicinity of showers. Outside of showers, typical afternoon
breezes are forecast.

Two boundaries collided causing a storm to develop overhead
KCYS. This should be brief and slow dissipate as it moves east.
A wall of rain with lightning possible should be at KBFF within
the next hour maybe by 01z. This wall looks to miss KCDR so
-TSRA was kept out of the TAF but may hit KAIA before dissipating.
So a prob30 instead of a TEMPO was used for KAIA. After this
wall of rain pushes through no redevelopment is expected so the
skies should start to clear through the night.

GLD: Thunderstorms in Washington County, CO (at 0340Z) will
track east toward the KS border late this evening. If the
aforementioned storms persist long enough to progress into
northwest KS (~06-08Z), current observational trends suggest
that said storms would largely remain north of the Goodland
terminal. Low confidence with regard to storm coverage and
longevity. Sub-VFR conditions associated with fog are possible a
few hours on either side of sunrise Monday morning. Otherwise,
VFR conditions will prevail. South winds at 12-17 knots this
evening will decrease to 7-12 knots early Monday morning. Winds
will veer to the SW by sunrise and shift to the NW during the
late morning. Light (~7-12 knot) NW winds are likely to prevail
through the remainder of the TAF period.
MCK: Sub-VFR conditions associated with fog are possible a few
hours on either side of sunrise Monday morning (similar to the
past few days). Otherwise, VFR conditions will prevail. S to SSE
winds at 10-15 knots will prevail this evening and overnight.
Winds will veer to the SW during the late morning or early
afternoon.. further veering to the WSW or W during the mid-
afternoon. Light WSW or W winds are expected to prevail through
the remainder of the TAF period.

Over the next 24 hours, several upper level disturbances moving
through southwest Kansas will bring opportunities for
thunderstorms. The first round of scattered thunderstorms
(20-30% chance) is expected between 00Z and 06Z Monday,
primarily west of Highway 83 with Liberal having the better
chances for seeing anything from these storms then the Garden
City area. The next round of storms will occur after 08z Monday
(30-40% chance) as better warm air advection and moisture
transport between 850-700mb develops across southwest Kansas
ahead of the next upper level wave. A third opportunity for
storms is during the last few hours of the TAF period. BUFR
soundings suggest a higher likelihood of lower ceilings and
visibilities with these storms tonight than what the latest
short term ensemble guidance indicates. Will follow the more
pessimistic low cloud heights at this time as these widely
scattered storms cross southwest Kansas. Outside these
storms...VFR conditions are expected over the next 24 hours.
Surface winds tonight will be from the southeast at 10 to 15
knots shifting to the south. These southerly winds will increase
to 15 to 20 knots between 15Z and 18Z Monday as stronger winds
from the boundary layer mix down to the surface.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue to track slowly
south and southeastward across eastern areas through the evening,
then a few cells may linger after midnight along the NM/TX border
south of I-40. Late tonight through early Monday morning, there is
about a 20% chance of patchy low clouds developing south of I-40
and along and east of the Pecos River. Monday afternoon, isolated
showers and thunderstorms will favor the far eastern plains, and a
cell or two may pop up along the east slopes of the south central
mountains. Both this evening, and Monday afternoon, a few storms
may turn severe by producing large hail and damaging winds.
