.AVIATION /06Z TAFS through 06Z Sunday/...
Issued at 1027 PM MST Fri Nov 21 2025
VFR through Saturday and into Sunday morning. There will be a fog
bank north of DEN tonight, but confidence is pretty high that the
drainage winds out of the south will keep it north of KDEN.
However, as typically occurs with drainage winds, they weaken
after 12Z in the absence of any broader pressure gradient. When
that happens, the fog bank itself generates a push to the south.
High res models keep it just north of BJC and DEN but it will
likely get close enough to mention here between 12-15Z. 10-15%
chance the fog gets to DEN and BJC during those hours, not enough
to include in the TAFs just yet. The good news is that we will be
able to use GOES-E to detect the fog bank early Saturday morning.
APA will avoid any fog tonight into the morning hours.
During the early afternoon (19-20Z), expect ESE winds at the
terminals, around 10 kt at BJC and APA and 12-15 kts at DEN. Winds
will do their diurnal business going SE at 03Z, then drainage
(south to SSW) after 06Z at 6-10 kts at DEN and APA. BJC will go
to light and WSW.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 1026 PM MST Fri Nov 21 2025
LIFR cigs have developed over KCOS and near KPUB due to light
southeast upslope winds. IFR to LIFR vis in fog will be
possible at both terminals overnight with clouds receding
eastward from the mountains as north to northwesterly drainage
winds set up between 12z and 15z Sat. KALS will also see IFR to
LIFR cigs/vis develop overnight and persist through 15-16z. VFR
conditions return for all three TAF sites on Saturday with
light south to southeast winds increasing in the afternoon at
10-15 kts. High clouds will invade from the south Saturday
evening. -KT

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 946 PM MST Fri Nov 21 2025
Some residual cloud cover will hang around mountain valleys into
the morning hours. Can`t rule out some developing fog, but
confidence is low on timing and locations. Morning sunshine
will quickly erode any breakpoint ceilings away that remain at
daybreak. Light winds will continue through tomorrow. Cloud
cover will invade from the southwest tomorrow afternoon, with
terminals under mid to upper level ceilings by the close of this
TAF period Saturday evening.

Salt Lake City Aviation Discussion
Issued at 2258 UTC Friday, November 21, 2025

.AVIATION...KSLC...Predominantly VFR conditions are expected through
the TAF period, with northwest winds switching back to southeast
around 03Z. After 06Z there is a 20% chance for dense fog developing
across the airfield reducing visibility to less than 1/2 mile. Any
fog which does develop will dissipate by 16Z Saturday.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Pockets of MVFR cigs will
persist through the remainder of the afternoon across northern Utah
and southwest Wyoming while VFR conditions prevail elsewhere. After
04Z this evening patchy dense fog will redevelop across northern
Utah and southwest Wyoming, potentially resulting in LIFR to VLIFR
conditions with visibility less than 1/4 mile at area terminals. Any
fog which develops will persist through at least mid-morning
Saturday.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 1015 PM MST Fri Nov 21 2025
VFR conditions at TAF sites through the next 24 hours, with only
high cirrus sweeping in from the north. Some low clouds are
trying to move into KJAC, but are not expected to get over the
Tetons. Some low clouds and fog are possible in far southwest WY
(KEMM/KAFO) into early tomorrow morning. Most sites will have
only light winds tonight and tomorrow, with only KCPR/KCOD
seeing gusts approaching 15kt.
Please see the Aviation Weather Center and/or CWSU ZDV and ZLC
for the latest information on smoke, icing, and turbulence
forecasts.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 1020 PM MST Fri Nov 21 2025
BR that moved in briefly and reduced VIS at KCYS has now dissipated
and for the remainder of this TAF period, no widespread aviation
weather concerns expected across all terminals. KLAR, KBFF, and KAIA
may have BR develop overnight along with lower clouds, but this
should not have any aviation impacts. Winds will not be much of a
factor as they are expected to remain generally 10 knots or less
through this TAF period.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 1118 PM CST Fri Nov 21 2025
VFR conditions are expected to prevail across most of western and
north central Nebraska overnight through the day and evening. High
based cloud cover persists over southwest Nebraska and portions of
the Sandhills, with no impacts expected to ceilings. Patchy fog will
once again be possible across parts of the region tonight, mainly
portions of central Nebraska. However, this is expected to remain
east of the KLBF and KVTN terminals. Winds remain light out of the
west overnight, becoming northwesterly during the day. Gusty
conditions are expected across northern Nebraska during the
afternoon, with winds subsiding to light and variable by the
evening across the region.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 1009 PM MST Fri Nov 21 2025
VFR conditions are expected to dominate this TAF period. There
is a 50% chance KMCK has fog and ceilings that briefly take them
to MVFR and a 10% chance of IFR before 13Z. Timing is so
uncertain that this is not directly mentioned in the TAFs via
TEMPO or From group. KGLD is forecast to remain VFR the entire
time.
Winds will become northwesterly later in the morning before
becoming light and variable around sunset. This could lead to a
fog threat Sunday morning after 6Z.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 1111 PM CST Fri Nov 21 2025
Surface observations across southwest KS indicate MVFR/IFR cigs
and vis are still impacting all terminals, as remnants of the
recent precipitation event linger. Short range guidance agree
skies will be scattering out over the next several hours, with
all terminals returning to VFR by 08-12Z. Otherwise, light and
variable winds are expected through 06Z Sunday.

Main aviation concern will be low clouds and fog at the terminals
through mid morning. Fog is most likely at KAMA followed by KDHT,
with visibility potentially dropping to a quarter mile at KAMA.
Low clouds will lead to MVFR to LIFR conditions at the other
sites. Fog and low clouds will clear out by late morning and a
return to VFR conditions is expected thereafter. Winds will be
light around 10 kts or less throughout the next 24 hours.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 1043 PM MST Fri Nov 21 2025
SCT to BKN mid-level clouds will move across the airspace from
south to northwest overnight. A weak boundary across northeast NM
is pushing southeast across the rest of eastern NM. Low clouds
will develop across much of northeast and east central NM in it`s
wake early Saturday morning. This will result in some IFR to
potentially as low as Airport Minimum conditions for sites across
this area, including KLVS and KTCC. Some patchy fog cannot be
ruled out as well. Have included a TEMPO at KTCC but did not have
enough confidence to include it for KLVS. Low clouds look to
remain in the vicinity but not directly impact KROW around sunrise
Saturday at this time. Low clouds across northeast and east
central NM look to break up during the late morning hours with two
areas of SCT to BKN mid to high level clouds moving into western
and central NM and far southeast NM during the afternoon. Heading
into the evening hours, southeast winds increase across western
NM along with a strengthening east gap wind at KABQ. Gusts of
around 25 kts will be possible at KABQ right at the end of the TAF
period. The leading edge of rain and mountain snow showers moves
into far southwest NM along with lowering VFR ceilings in western
NM, including KFMN and KGUP, at the end of the period.
