There are a few light showers moving off of the Southern
Foothills to the southeast as of early this morning. These
showers could move in the vicinity of KAPA for the next hour or so
before dissipating. Winds will be out of the south for a few
hours this morning, becoming light and variable, and then turning
to the northeast by 17Z or 18Z. Showers and thunderstorms will be
more isolated today, lowering confidence in impacts to the TAF
sites. There will be a 30% chance for an isolated shower or storm
this afternoon at KAPA and KBJC, with lower chances at KDEN.
Models are hinting at stronger winds from the south/southeast
around 03Z to 07Z at KDEN and KAPA, but there is a chance that the
gustier winds could stay just off to the southeast of the TAF
sites. Winds will turn more to the southwest overnight at KDEN and
KAPA, with northwest winds at KBJC.

At KALS, VFR this morning, then a prob30 for -tsra from 21z-02z,
with gusty winds to 40 kts possible under any stronger
activity. Storms end after 02z, with clearing skies and light
winds overnight.
At KCOS and KPUB, vcsh for KCOS until 14z as a few -shra race
quickly through the area. Any precip will be very light.
Increasing chance of -tsra after 20z at both terminals, with
chance of storms persisting until around 02z before activity
shifts southeast. Period of MVFR cigs/vis likely under heavier
activity, with gusty winds to 40 kts possible. Clearing skies
then expected overnight. Winds will be s-sw this morning,
trending toward sely at both sites after 17z.

afternoon producing gusty outflow winds that will likely impact
these TAF sites. Conditions should remain above ILS breakpoints.

REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...VFR conditions prevail for all
regional terminals through the period. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms are expected across portions of southeast Utah this

GLD: As of 0945 UTC, early morning showers/storms have
progressed south and east of Goodland. VFR conditions are
expected to prevail for the TAF period. Winds will be light and
variable with gusts around 10 knots possible.
MCK: While showers are possible in the vicinity of the airport
prior to sunrise, sub-VFR ceilings/visibility are not expected.
VFR conditions and light winds are forecast to prevail through
the 12Z TAF period.

A broken line of showers and isolated thunderstorms earlier this
morning have moved away from southwest Kansas airports LBL, GCK,
and HYS with good aviation weather expected remainder of the
afternoon and evening. Winds will be light and variable early
this period as a weak high pressure ridge remains across much of
Kansas. Another round of late evening/overnight thunderstorms
will move east/southeast out of southeastern Colorado, but
should remain far enough removed from much of southwest Kansas
with the exception of far southwest Kansas. We will carry a
PROB30 group for thunderstorms at LBL airport but keep
thunderstorms out of the TAF for the other airports. VFR flight
category will continue through the period.

VFR conditions are forecast over the next 24 hrs at all sites.
Winds are shifting out of the north-northeast behind a boundary
at KGUY and KDHT this morning, generally at 5-15 kts with
occasionally higher gusts. Winds at KAMA will stay out of the
south-southwest at about 10-15 kts until the boundary arrives late
this evening-overnight. Showers and storms could reach terminals
later this evening-overnight, but probabilities are too low to
include mentions in the TAFs at this time.

There will be a somewhat gusty north and northeast wind shift
behind a moist backdoor front on the northeast and east central
plains early this morning. Then, scattered to isolated showers
and thunderstorms will develop during the afternoon and evening,
except for more numerous cells across the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains, northeast highlands, and around Glenwood. Storm motion
will be toward the south and southwest around 5-10 KT, except
toward the southeast around 10-15 KT across northeast areas. Some
storms along and east of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and also
on the east central plains, will probably turn severe by producing
large hail and damaging winds during the afternoon and early
evening. A few strong-to-severe storms will also be possible over
the southern tier of mountains.
