Dense fog was affecting APA and DIA early this morning and will
continue thru 14z before gradually lifting. Satellite shows
the wrn extent of this fog east of I-25 and it doesn`t look like
it will affect BJC.
By 15z a cold front will move across the area with gusty north
winds behind it. Gusts from 30-35 mph will occur from late morning
thru the afternoon with slightly lower speeds at BJC. In
addition, will see rain showers between 15z and 20z as well.
Ceilings will be down to 4500 ft with a period of lower ceilings
down to 2500 ft where heaiver rainfall occurs. Visbility will stay
mainly in the 3-5 mile range with the rain.
After 20z will see rain showers end from north to south with most
activity done by 23z. Ceilings will be in the 5000-6000 ft range
thru the evening hours. North winds will remain gusty at APA and
DIA through 04z with a slow decrease in speeds overnight.

Overall, VFR conditions are expected at all 3 taf sites next 24
hours. KALS may see on and off showers through the daylight
hours with gusty northwest winds developing later in the
afternoon.
KPUB and KCOS will see windy conditions develop by late morning
or early afternoon as a cool front pushes across the region.
Showers are expected to develop behind the front and last into
late afternoon. Breezy conditions will last into the evening
hours. I can`t rule a brief period of MVFR with the heavier
showers.

isolated light showers remain this morning, but should completely

gusty southwest to west winds this morning are expected to shift to
the northwest late this morning. Wind speeds will generally remain
around 10 knots or less, but KPGA and KINW may continue to see

OUTLOOK...Tuesday 03/12Z through Thursday 05/12Z...VFR continues.
Passing high clouds are expected Monday night into Tuesday morning
with light winds expected through the next morning and wind

persist through the overnight hours. There is a 30% chance of IFR
CIGS/VIS at times within heavier precipitation. Rainfall will taper
off late tonight with a return to VFR conditions by 15Z Monday.
Winds will remain northwesterly through the TAF period.
REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Periods of rain will persist
across northern Utah and southwest Wyoming through tonight resulting
in MVFR to locally IFR conditions. Conditions will improve to VFR
Monday morning. Across southern Utah, CIGS may temporarily fall in
the MVFR range at KCDC overnight with passing showers, otherwise
VFR conditions will prevail.

West of the Divide...KBPI/KJAC/KPNA/KRKS Terminals
Western terminals should see precipitation gradually dissipate
through the overnight into the morning hours on Monday. A few
showers may be possible overnight at KJAC, KPNA, and KBPI. KRKS
is the one exception to this as showers and prevailing rain are
expected to persist to around 16Z Monday. MVFR conditions should
improve becoming VFR by the mid to late morning on Monday.
Winds will be breezy at times with speeds of 10 to 15 knots and
occasional gusts of 20 to 25 knots. Winds are expected to
decrease by the mid to late afternoon on Monday. Mountains will
likely be obscured through much of the TAF period, some
improvement is possible by the afternoon and evening Monday.
East of the Divide...KCOD/KCPR/KLND/KRIW/KWRL Terminals
VFR conditions are gradually diminishing across nearly all
terminals to start the TAF period. Precipitation coverage will
increase through the overnight especially at KLND, KRIW, and
KCPR. These terminals are likely to see prevailing MVFR to IFR
conditions and steady rain into late Monday morning. Showers may
be possible at KWRL and KCOD through the overnight hours into
Monday morning. PROB30 groups are in place for both terminals
from about 12 to 18Z Monday for light rain. Winds will be breezy
at time through the overnight with most terminals seeing speeds
of 10 to 15 knots. Stronger winds are forecast at KRIW where
speeds may range between 15 to 20 knots with gusts of 25 to 30
knots. Prevailing precipitation at KLND, KRIW, and KCPR should
begin to decrease by the late morning hours on Monday. Some
showers may linger after 18Z Monday with all locations drying
out by 00Z Tuesday. Most terminals will flirt with MVFR
conditions even after the precipitation stops. Improvement may
not occur until after 00Z Tuesday into the end of the TAF
period. Mountains will be obscured through much of if not all of
the TAF period.

Potent Pacific storm system and associated cold front will move into
the Front Range late tonight and push through the area Monday
morning. Periods of fog and rain showers will transition to steady
rainfall (high elevation snow) and very windy conditions across the
eastern plains after 12z Monday.
HAZARDS/WEATHER TRENDS: Complicated Aviation forecast setting up for
the next 18 to 24 hours with generally low confidence for most
terminals. Periods of rain showers, locally heavy at times, will
continue through 09z. In between this shower activity, light and
variable winds will result in periods of fog at times. Once the cold
front moves southeast across the area between 08z (KRWL & KCDR) and
12z (KCYS, KSNY) winds will quickly shift into the northwest and
increase between 20 to 35 knots with higher gusts, mainly over the

coverage. Pretty confident that KAIA, KSNY, and KCDR will see IFR

Rain showers and low stratus is observed across western and north
central Nebraska tonight, with showers expected to persist across
northern portions of the region. Additionally, a strong low level
jet is expected along and east of a KLBF to KVTN line tonight,
bringing LLWS concerns across eastern portions of the region. By the
morning, expecting a slight erosion of the stratus deck across
southwest Nebraska, which may allow for brief VFR conditions.
However, this is expected to be short lived, as a low pressure
system brings a return of showers and lower ceilings, mostly MVFR to
IFR conditions. The low will also support strong, gusty surface
winds across the region, with gusts in excess of 45 knots across the
Sandhills. Gusty conditions are expected to last through the night,
with additional rain showers likely.

For KGLD & KMCK... VFR conditions are forecast to start the
period. However, an advancing front is forecast to bring low
ceilings around 1500-3000ft to the area along with winds from
the northwest at 20-25 knots with gusts up to 40 knots. There
could also be a brief period of fog with visibility down to a
mile or less around 13-14Z with fog ahead of the front. For now,
it is forecast to burn off before making it. Showers and storms
become possible after 18Z, though the better chances are
forecast to be just south of the terminals. Should a storm
develop, be alert for wind gusts around 50 knots. In the
absence of storms, winds should be at their strongest close to
00-06Z with gusts reaching 40-50 knots.

Early morning showers and isolated thunderstorms will move away
from southwest Kansas, however another round of showers and
storms will develop along an advancing cold front, most focused
near an upper level low center, mainly late afternoon/evening.
Very strong north winds will develop behind the front, advancing
on GCK airport first early this evening, followed by LBL and
DDC, then eventually HYS airport by mid evening. High wind gusts
of 50 knots or higher will be possible, particularly around
heavier showers. After a period of VFR flight category today,
IFR/MVFR ceiling due to lowering stratus is likely behind the
cold front this evening.

A weather system continues to impact the panhandles today.
Currently conditions are VFR at all terminals. Then later this
evening a cold front will bring low clouds and rain showers to
the northern panhandle. These are most likely at KGUY and KDHT and
are reflected within the TAFs. The winds will be strong and gusty
at all terminals through today. These winds will blow from the
southwest to west ahead of a cold frontal passage. Then the winds
will shift to northwesterly during the evening following cold
frontal passage.

Another round of potential storm development is in store across
southern New Mexico which will impact KROW from 06-08Z . Erratic,
gusty winds with reduced visibilities are going to be the main
impacts if a storm develops near the terminal. Elsewhere, an
additional round of rain looks to occur across portions of
northwestern and central New Mexico late this evening into the
early morning hours. CIGs are mainly expected to remain above 3000
ft, though brief lowering in CIGs may occur with periods of
moderate to heavier rainfall. Southerly winds will shift
southwesterly to westerly and become breezy during the morning at
most terminals.
