VFR conditions will persist, but main concern will be gusty and
variable outflow winds late this afternoon into early evening.
For this morning, we still expect a transition from SW-W-NW
12Z-17Z and then more northerly 17Z-01Z. While the airmass will
be drier, there will likely be just enough moisture and strong
daytime heating for isolated high based showers/sprinkles with
gusty outflow winds. The threat of thunder is less than 15%. Thus,
we`ll go with PROB30 for light showers and gusty winds to 35 kts
in the most likely time frame of 21/22Z-02Z.
After 02Z, skies will clear again with winds transitioning to
normal diurnal south/southwest through 06Z. Those winds will then
persist through at least 12Z Tuesday morning with speeds generally
8-12 kts or less.

VFR conditions are expected over KALS, KCOS, and KPUB throughout
the forecast period. Showers with isolated lightning will
develop over the I-25 corridor the evening which needed a PROB30
for KCOS and KPUB. Main impacts will be gusty and erratic winds.
Perhaps directly underneath the strongest storms there will be
heavy rain that will lower CIGS to MVFR to IFR, however the
likelihood is low for that. Thunderstorm chances diminish right
around 4z for KCOS and 6z for KPUB.

across the higher terrain north of I-70 with brief periods of
MVFR conditions in heavier rain. These storms will end or move
out of the area by 12Z. Look for isolated to scattered afternoon
showers and thunderstorms favoring the higher terrain along the
I-70 corridor. Otherwise, expect mostly VFR conditions and
light winds across the region for the next 24 hours.

diminish, with mostly clear conditions by late morning lasting
into the evening. Light southeast winds will last into the
afternoon, with a transition to light northwest winds around
20-21Z. Clouds will increase after 00Z, with around a 30% chance
for rain showers with isolated thunderstorms from 02-06Z. Showers
will be capable of altering wind directions and speeds, otherwise
light northwest winds will transition to southeast around 03Z.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Mostly clear conditions
will prevail much of the day. Southwest winds will gust around
20-30 knots for southwest Wyoming and southwest Utah from 18-03Z.
Scattered to broken clouds will build into southwest Wyoming and
northern Utah after 00Z. Scattered rain showers with isolated
thunderstorms roughly between KPVU and KOGD will track northeast
into southwest Wyoming from 00-06Z. Showers and thunderstorms will

A very isolated shower or two may linger nearby some terminals east
of the Divide to start the TAF period, regardless VFR
conditions are expected to prevail. Clouds will gradually clear
through the morning before returning for the afternoon and
evening. Winds remain light through much of the period with a
slight increase at nearly all terminal during the afternoon.
Brief gusts around 15 to 20 knots will be possible this
afternoon, winds decrease and become light by the evening.
Isolated showers and possibly a thunderstorm may develop this
afternoon into the late evening with most terminals seeing
little to no impacts. The main concern would be brief gusty
outflow winds around 30 knots nearby any showers or storms. Some
mountain obscuration may be possible as showers develop this
afternoon and evening.

For KGLD & KMCK... Some showers and a few storms are passing
through the area at the beginning of the period, but should be
short lived if they do move over the terminals. After about 15Z,
the low chances for showers should end and allow for clearing
skies as a dryline pushes into the area. Winds should be from
around the south at 8-12 kts, unless the dryline moves through
in which case winds should shift to be more from the northwest.
A few storms could fire up along the dryline around 21Z, though
the current forecast pushes it east of both terminals. Look for
updates, because if the dryline remains west of either terminal,
then storm chances increase along with a chance for severe
storms. Otherwise, clear conditions should continue, with a low
chance that either fog or smoke could lower visibility to around
3SM for KMCK.

KDDC radar observations show showers and weak thunderstorms are
beginning to develop across central KS near HYS. Direct terminal
impact from this activity is unlikely, however MVFR cigs/vis are
possible at HYS given the event one or more of these moves over
the airport. Otherwise, VFR flying conditions are expected this
TAF cycle. Winds will remain out of the south and follow the
typical diurnal trend of aoa 12 kts during the early morning,
evening, and overnight hours, but sustained in the 15-20 kt
range gusting to 30 kts during the late morning and afternoon.

As of early this morning, a weak disturbance was allowing for
thunderstorms to develop across the Eastern Panhandles. As it
stands, the current storm motion should keep this activity from
impacting the terminals outside of some scatter to few clouds.
Potential is present to see more isolated to scatter thunderstorms
this evening. However, most CAMs expect this activity to once
again stay in the Eastern Panhandles with a very low chance (10 to
15%) of impacting the terminals. For now, have kept terminals VFR
through the package.

A small patch of low clouds is moving north across Lea and
Roosevelt County east of KROW. Kept a TEMPO at KROW through 14Z
for these low clouds to be in the vicinity of the terminal, but
confidence is low. Any low clouds across far eastern NM should
quickly burn off by mid morning. A few stray showers and storms
along the east slopes of the Sacramento Mountains and along the TX
border near KCAO this afternoon and near KCVS and KCVN early this
evening with the threat being conditional. If a storm were to
develop near the TX border, it will be capable of becoming strong
to severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main
threats. Mostly clear skies areawide overnight with some breezy
south winds across the eastern plains TAF sites.
