Issued at 513 AM MDT Sun Jun 15 2025 Main concern is for isolated high based shower/storm and gusty outflow winds 21Z-02Z. Today is nearly a rinse/repeat of Saturday with isolated high based convection. We expect strong surface heating and just enough moisture collecting at the LCL for Prob30 gusty/VRB winds to ~30 kts 21Z-02Z. Otherwise, we`re starting off with light and fairly typical drainage winds, which will become variable by 16Z. Then east/southeast winds expected to develop by 18Z-20Z, before potentially being disrupted by outflows. Outside of any outflows, southeast winds should prevail through this evening. However, there`s still potential for an east/southeast enhanced outflow from stronger storms that develop over the eastern Colorado plains. That would be most likely to arrive 03Z-05Z so we`ll have a more easterly component in the TAFs then, before returning to more south/southwest again through 12Z Monday. * * * * * Southeast Colorado * * * * * METAR K4BM 151635Z AUTO 19003KT 10SM CLR 18/M08 A3066 RMK AO2 METAR K4BM 151615Z AUTO 17004KT 10SM CLR 18/M05 A3067 RMK AO2 METAR K4BM 151555Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 18/M07 A3067 RMK AO2 METAR KAFF 151555Z AUTO 15005KT 10SM CLR 22/15 A3024 RMK AO2 SLP142 T02240150 METAR KAFF 151455Z AUTO 17007KT 10SM CLR 20/15 A3027 RMK AO2 SLP155 T02010149 50004 METAR KAFF 151355Z AUTO 16007KT 10SM CLR 19/14 A3027 RMK AO2 SLP155 T01870138 KCOS 151134Z 1512/1612 VRB05KT P6SM SCT005 FM151600 15007KT P6SM FEW200 FM152000 16012KT P6SM SCT100 BKN200 PROB30 1522/1602 VRB20G35KT -TSRA BKN080CB FM160300 10008KT P6SM SCT100 SCT200 FM160600 03006KT P6SM SCT200 METAR KCOS 151554Z 18006KT 10SM FEW055 FEW180 22/16 A3025 RMK AO2 SLP157 T02220156 $ METAR KCOS 151454Z 21005KT 10SM FEW025 FEW180 20/16 A3027 RMK AO2 SLP168 T02000161 50004 $ METAR KCOS 151354Z 18006KT 10SM FEW020 FEW180 19/16 A3028 RMK AO2 SLP170 LWR CLDS NR MTN BASES SW T01890156 $ METAR KABH 151555Z AUTO 22011KT 10SM CLR 24/16 A3024 RMK AO2 SLP160 T02430160 METAR KABH 151455Z AUTO 21010KT 10SM FEW018 22/17 A3026 RMK AO2 SLP167 T02230168 50003 METAR KABH 151355Z AUTO 21012KT 10SM CLR 20/16 A3026 RMK AO2 SLP170 T02030155 METAR KFLY 151635Z AUTO 20006G14KT 10SM CLR 23/14 A3030 RMK AO2 T02330142 METAR KFLY 151615Z AUTO 19006G15KT 10SM CLR 23/14 A3030 RMK AO2 T02250141 METAR KFLY 151555Z AUTO 20007G15KT 10SM CLR 22/14 A3030 RMK AO2 T02200142 METAR KFCS 151555Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 24/15 A3021 RMK AO2 SLP160 T02390148 $ METAR KFCS 151455Z AUTO 23005KT 10SM CLR 23/15 A3022 RMK AO2 SLP163 T02270150 50001 $ METAR KFCS 151355Z AUTO 20008KT 10SM CLR 21/16 A3023 RMK AO2 SLP167 T02120155 $ KPUB 151134Z 1512/1612 01007KT P6SM SCT010 TEMPO 1513/1515 BKN010 FM151700 13008KT P6SM SCT200 FM152100 12012G22KT P6SM SCT100 SCT200 FM160300 08009KT P6SM SCT200 METAR KPUB 151553Z 25006KT 10SM CLR 26/16 A3013 RMK AO2 SLP132 T02610156 $ METAR KPUB 151453Z 21008KT 10SM CLR 24/16 A3016 RMK AO2 SLP142 T02440161 58000 $ METAR KPUB 151353Z 24006KT 10SM CLR 22/17 A3017 RMK AO2 SLP145 T02220167 $ METAR KVTP 151635Z AUTO 31006KT 10SM CLR 18/M05 A3066 RMK AO2 METAR KVTP 151615Z AUTO 28006KT 10SM CLR 18/M03 A3067 RMK AO2 METAR KVTP 151555Z AUTO 28006KT 10SM CLR 17/00 A3067 RMK AO2 METAR KTAD 151554Z AUTO 26012G19KT 10SM CLR 25/15 A3021 RMK AO2 SLP145 T02500150 METAR KTAD 151454Z AUTO 25011KT 10SM CLR 23/15 A3023 RMK AO2 SLP148 T02280150 50000 METAR KTAD 151354Z AUTO 27006KT 10SM CLR 19/14 A3024 RMK AO2 SLP155 T01940139 METAR KLAA 151553Z AUTO 05009KT 10SM CLR 26/18 A3012 RMK AO2 SLP145 T02610178 METAR KLAA 151453Z AUTO 02009KT 10SM FEW015 24/19 A3011 RMK AO2 SLP144 T02440194 53029 METAR KLAA 151353Z AUTO 10006KT 10SM CLR 23/16 A3009 RMK AO2 SLP134 T02280161 METAR KSPD 151556Z AUTO 18011KT 28/13 A3013 RMK AO1 SLP135 T02780133 METAR KSPD 151456Z AUTO 22010G17KT 26/13 A3010 RMK AO1 SLP124 60009 T02560133 55023 METAR KSPD 151356Z AUTO 23007KT 22/16 A3009 RMK AO1 SLP120 T02220156 Sunrise/Sunset for 06/15/2025 Burlington - 05:21:56 MDT / 20:17:29 MDT Pueblo - 05:34:36 MDT / 20:23:37 MDT Lamar - 05:27:08 MDT / 20:15:03 MDT Pueblo (KPUX) 06/15/25 16:34 UTC Radar VAD winds Height Dir/Spd(kt) 15000 FT MSL...345/004 14300 FT MSL...007/006 14000 FT MSL...013/004 12400 FT MSL...080/003 12000 FT MSL...094/005 11000 FT MSL...114/004 10900 FT MSL...098/004 10000 FT MSL...196/013 9700 FT MSL...179/013 9000 FT MSL...191/014 8600 FT MSL...193/014 8000 FT MSL...196/015 7800 FT MSL...202/014 7000 FT MSL...207/013 7000 FT MSL...210/013 6400 FT MSL...212/012 6000 FT MSL...206/011 5900 FT MSL...206/012 5700 FT MSL...206/012 Pueblo Aviation Discussion Issued at 1151 UTC Sunday, June 15, 2025 .AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z MONDAY/... Issued at 535 AM MDT Sun Jun 15 2025 Patchy stratus and fog is currently developing across the I-25 corridor and adjacent plains as outflow from thunderstorms across eastern CO pushes westward and impinges on the higher terrain. Northerly winds at KCOS may keep this more of a patchy phenomenon though where it is developing vis could drop into the MVFR to IFR category. Will keep KCOS TAF VFR for now unless trends in satellite imagery suggest otherwise. KPUB may see a better chance for a brief BKN IFR cig so have introduced this in a TEMPO group. It is possible however that stratus deck stays to the south and west of TAF site. Any Cigs/patchy fog should dissipate around 15z along the I-25 corridor and by 18z farther east with a return to VFR conditions. Isolated thunderstorms will redevelop after 21z across the southeast plains with the potential for large hail and damaging winds with any stronger storm cells that develop. KCOS is most likely to be impacted and will continue the Prob30 group for TSRA there. Chances at KPUB still look too low for TSRA in the TAF but will this will need to be monitored closely. Any isolated thunderstorms should clear east of the terminals by 02z with a return of VFR conditions. KALS will remain VFR today with southwest winds increasing during the late afternoon around 10-15 kts before decreasing after 03-04z. -KT * * * * * Northwest Colorado * * * * * METAR KCAG 151553Z AUTO 07011KT 10SM CLR 25/02 A3020 RMK AO2 SLP146 T02500017 $ METAR KCAG 151453Z AUTO 07011KT 10SM CLR 21/01 A3021 RMK AO2 SLP153 T02110006 58005 $ METAR KCAG 151353Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 14/03 A3021 RMK AO2 SLP156 T01440028 $ METAR KSBS 151635Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 22/02 A3024 RMK AO1 T02230019 METAR KSBS 151615Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 21/03 A3024 RMK AO1 T02120026 METAR KSBS 151555Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 20/02 A3025 RMK AO1 T01960022 METAR KC07 151635Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 19/M03 A3056 RMK AO2 METAR KC07 151615Z AUTO 09003KT 10SM CLR 17/00 A3056 RMK AO2 METAR KC07 151555Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 17/M03 A3056 RMK AO2 METAR K33V 151635Z AUTO 13004KT 10SM CLR 21/00 A3037 RMK AO1 METAR K33V 151615Z AUTO 14004KT 10SM CLR 20/M02 A3037 RMK AO1 METAR K33V 151555Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 19/M01 A3037 RMK AO1 METAR KEEO 151553Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 22/M01 A3021 RMK AO2 SLP144 T02221006 METAR KEEO 151453Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 19/M01 A3022 RMK AO2 SLP145 T01891011 58003 METAR KEEO 151353Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 15/M03 A3023 RMK AO2 SLP150 T01501028 METAR K20V 151635Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 20/M11 A3034 RMK AO2 METAR K20V 151615Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 20/M09 A3035 RMK AO2 METAR K20V 151555Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 18/M10 A3036 RMK AO2 METAR KGNB 151635Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 20/M01 A3041 RMK AO2 T01951009 METAR KGNB 151615Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 18/M01 A3042 RMK AO2 T01801006 METAR KGNB 151555Z AUTO 23003KT 10SM CLR 17/00 A3043 RMK AO2 T01670000 METAR KC99 151640Z AUTO 28009G20KT 10SM CLR 18/M11 A3059 RMK AO2 METAR KC99 151620Z AUTO 32005G16KT 10SM CLR 18/M11 A3059 RMK AO2 METAR KC99 151600Z AUTO 28006G16KT 10SM CLR 18/M09 A3059 RMK AO2 KGJT 151120Z 1512/1612 12009KT P6SM SKC FM151500 12012KT P6SM FEW250 FM151800 27006KT P6SM FEW200 FEW250 FM160000 27010G19KT P6SM FEW150 FEW250 FM160300 09006KT P6SM SKC METAR KGJT 151553Z 13007KT 10SM CLR 26/M04 A3011 RMK AO2 SLP119 T02611039 METAR KGJT 151453Z 12013KT 10SM CLR 24/M02 A3012 RMK AO2 SLP118 T02441022 51009 METAR KGJT 151353Z 09014KT 10SM CLR 23/M03 A3011 RMK AO2 SLP113 T02331033 KRIL 151120Z 1512/1612 VRB03KT P6SM SKC FM151900 28010G20KT P6SM FEW150 SCT250 FM152100 26012G25KT P6SM FEW200 SCT250 FM160300 26006KT P6SM FEW150 FEW250 FM161000 VRB04KT P6SM FEW150 FEW250 METAR KRIL 151553Z AUTO VRB03KT 10SM CLR 24/01 A3018 RMK AO2 SLP142 T02440011 METAR KRIL 151453Z AUTO 36003KT 10SM CLR 20/00 A3019 RMK AO2 SLP148 T02000000 50002 METAR KRIL 151353Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 15/01 A3020 RMK AO2 SLP153 T01500011 METAR K5SM 151635Z AUTO 10SM CLR 19/M05 A3061 RMK AO2 METAR K5SM 151615Z AUTO 10SM CLR 18/M02 A3061 RMK AO2 METAR K5SM 151555Z AUTO 10SM CLR 18/M05 A3061 RMK AO2 KEGE 151120Z 1512/1612 VRB03KT P6SM SKC FM151800 25006KT P6SM FEW150 SCT250 FM152100 27012G22KT P6SM FEW150 SCT250 FM160200 24006KT P6SM FEW130 FEW250 FM160600 12003KT P6SM SKC METAR KEGE 151556Z 18003KT 10SM CLR 21/M03 A3030 RMK AO2 SLP173 T02111028 $ METAR KEGE 151456Z 00000KT 10SM CLR 16/M03 A3033 RMK AO2 SLP184 T01561033 58002 $ METAR KEGE 151356Z 00000KT 10SM CLR 13/M03 A3034 RMK AO2 SLP187 T01281028 $ KASE 151120Z 1512/1612 VRB04KT P6SM SKC FM151800 25010G20KT P6SM FEW140 SCT250 FM160200 26005KT P6SM FEW130 FEW250 FM160500 18005KT P6SM FEW130 FEW250 METAR KASE 151553Z 02005KT 10SM CLR 22/00 A3034 RMK AO2 SLP145 T02170000 METAR KASE 151453Z 00000KT 10SM CLR 19/M01 A3034 RMK AO2 SLP148 T01891006 58001 METAR KASE 151353Z 12003KT 10SM CLR 15/M01 A3035 RMK AO2 SLP156 T01501011 METAR KLXV 151553Z AUTO VRB03KT 10SM CLR 19/M03 A3054 RMK AO2 SLP156 T01941028 METAR KLXV 151453Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 14/M03 A3055 RMK AO2 SLP164 T01441028 50002 METAR KLXV 151353Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 11/M03 A3056 RMK AO2 SLP161 T01111033 Sunrise/Sunset for 06/15/2025 Rangely - 05:45:27 MDT / 20:46:02 MDT Grand Junction - 05:47:45 MDT / 20:41:55 MDT Steamboat Springs - 05:36:20 MDT / 20:39:30 MDT Grand Junction (KGJX) 06/15/25 16:37 UTC Radar VAD winds Height Dir/Spd(kt) 14000 FT MSL...214/014 13000 FT MSL...212/015 12500 FT MSL...216/014 12000 FT MSL...239/014 11700 FT MSL...239/014 11100 FT MSL...247/015 11000 FT MSL...219/015 10400 FT MSL...216/014 10300 FT MSL...250/013 10100 FT MSL...217/014 Grand Junction Aviation Discussion Issued at 1117 UTC Sunday, June 15, 2025 .AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z MONDAY/... Issued at 430 AM MDT Sun Jun 15 2025 VFR conditions prevail at all terminals through the TAF period. Mid- level cloud cover continues to cross western Wyoming to the northeast as a weak shortwave moves through the state in southwest flow aloft. Low level moisture will remain in place this morning and early afternoon in the Bighorn Basin and Johnson/Natrona counties, with a pseudo-dryline in place between the southwest winds (drier air) and easterly winds (moist air). This shortwave will aid convective development across the Absaroka Mountains and Bighorn Basin this afternoon, starting around the northern end of the Wind River Mountains and the southern end of the Absarokas between 18Z and 21Z and move east- northeast during the afternoon and early evening hours. Additional convection is expected over Johnson and Natrona counties during this time as well. Most of these storms will be in the form of high- based showers or storms as a result of the southwest winds, which will lead to gusty outflow wind 35-45 kt between 21Z-00Z. KCOD, KWRL, and KCPR are the most likely terminals to see thunderstorm impacts after 20Z. However, confidence is too low to include into the KWRL forecast at this time. Gusty west- southwest surface wind 10-20 kt over the western terminals increases between 17Z-20Z and continues until 02Z. Winds will become light across all terminals by 06Z Monday. Please see the Aviation Weather Center and/or CWSU ZDV and ZLC for the latest information on smoke, icing, and turbulence forecasts. Cheyenne Aviation Discussion Issued at 1207 UTC Sunday, June 15, 2025 .AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z MONDAY/... Issued at 500 AM MDT Sun Jun 15 2025 KSNY may see some scattered low cloud decks this morning due to excess moisture in the region. Confidence is low on these lower clouds forming, but included the best time for cloud development in the TAF. Primary aviation concern today will once again be isolated to scattered showers and storms, some of which may be severe. Gusty, erratic winds are possible in and around any shower or storm that develops this afternoon and early evening. Skies should clear out behind the showers and storms once more for the overnight hours. * * * * * Nebraska * * * * * METAR KIBM 151635Z AUTO 16013G18KT 10SM CLR 26/16 A3013 RMK AO2 T02550162 METAR KIBM 151615Z AUTO 17011G17KT 10SM CLR 25/15 A3013 RMK AO2 T02490152 METAR KIBM 151555Z AUTO 16012G16KT 10SM CLR 24/15 A3013 RMK AO2 T02420153 KSNY 151120Z 1512/1612 25006KT P6SM SCT030 FM151600 17010KT P6SM SKC FM152000 17012G20KT P6SM SKC FM160000 14012G20KT P6SM VCTS SCT150CB FM160300 17012KT P6SM VCSH SCT150 METAR KSNY 151553Z AUTO 17015G20KT 10SM CLR 25/16 A3008 RMK AO2 SLP131 T02500161 $ METAR KSNY 151453Z AUTO 15012KT 10SM CLR 24/12 A3010 RMK AO2 SLP136 T02390117 50000 $ METAR KSNY 151353Z AUTO 17005KT 10SM CLR 23/13 A3010 RMK AO2 SLP135 T02330128 $ METAR KOGA 151635Z AUTO 19009KT CLR 28/20 A3006 RMK AO2 T02830198 METAR KOGA 151615Z AUTO 21010KT CLR 28/19 A3006 RMK AO2 T02820193 METAR KOGA 151555Z AUTO 19009KT CLR 28/19 A3007 RMK AO2 T02770192 METAR KIML 151553Z AUTO 16008KT 10SM CLR 27/20 A3007 RMK AO2 SLP146 T02720200 METAR KIML 151453Z AUTO 17009KT 10SM CLR 26/20 A3008 RMK AO2 SLP154 T02560200 50001 METAR KIML 151353Z AUTO 18003KT 10SM CLR 22/18 A3010 RMK AO2 SLP160 T02170183 KMCK 151120Z 1512/1612 VRB06KT P6SM SKC FM151500 16012G19KT P6SM SKC FM160000 16010KT P6SM FEW250 PROB30 1603/1606 28025G45KT 4SM -TSRA OVC025CB METAR KMCK 151553Z AUTO 19010G16KT 10SM CLR 27/19 A3006 RMK AO2 SLP154 T02720189 METAR KMCK 151453Z AUTO 18008KT 10SM CLR 26/19 A3008 RMK AO2 SLP161 T02560189 50009 METAR KMCK 151353Z AUTO VRB04KT 6SM HZ CLR 23/19 A3010 RMK AO2 SLP168 T02280194 North Platte (KLNX) 06/15/25 16:40 UTC Radar VAD winds Height Dir/Spd(kt) 14200 FT MSL...251/014 14000 FT MSL...248/014 13000 FT MSL...241/013 12000 FT MSL...239/024 12000 FT MSL...209/013 11000 FT MSL...206/018 10100 FT MSL...201/019 10000 FT MSL...199/019 9000 FT MSL...195/021 8600 FT MSL...196/021 8000 FT MSL...207/021 7400 FT MSL...215/022 7000 FT MSL...215/023 6300 FT MSL...213/023 6000 FT MSL...212/024 5500 FT MSL...206/021 5000 FT MSL...197/019 4700 FT MSL...195/019 4100 FT MSL...191/018 4000 FT MSL...189/018 3600 FT MSL...188/018 3400 FT MSL...187/017 North Platte Aviation Discussion Issued at 1155 UTC Sunday, June 15, 2025 .AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z MONDAY/... Issued at 651 AM CDT Sun Jun 15 2025 VFR conditions are expected through the majority of the forecast period. The lone exception to this will be the threat for rain and thunderstorms arriving from the west late Sunday evening. Model guidance varies slightly on coverage and timing but confidence appears to favor impacts at LBF over VTN. Will add a PROB30 mention until confidence increases for LBF. No mention was made at VTN at this time but should impacts occur, timing and magnitude would likely resemble the same as LBF. Issued at 508 AM MDT Sun Jun 15 2025 For KGLD... IFR conditions are forecast to start the period. Fog is building in to start the period, with upstream observations showing quarter of a mile visibility or less. Mostly clear skies and VFR conditions are forecast through much of the rest of the period with winds remaining from the south at 10-15 kts. There is a chance for showers and storms this evening and tonight. I currently don`t have them in the TAF as the storms are forecast to follow a similar track to recent nights, where they stay a county east and north of the terminal. If a storm does move over the terminal, the best time frame looks to be between 02-06Z. Storms may be severe with wind gusts in excess of 60kts. For KMCK... Watching for fog to begin the period. Recent observations showed visibility generally at or above 6SM, but upstream observations have shown visibility slowly lowering. Once the fog clears, mostly clear skies and VFR conditions are forecast through much of the remainder of the period. Winds should remain from the south at 10-15 kts through the daytime hours. Storms are forecast to move through the terminal again this evening and into the early night hours. The favored time is currently between 03-06Z, but could be as late as 10Z. Storms may be severe, with wind gusts potentially exceeding 60 kts and large hail. Once storms clear the terminal, clearing skies and winds around 10 kts are forecast for the remainder of the period. Issued at 507 AM CDT Sun Jun 15 2025 VFR conditions are expected to dominate through the TAF period. At the start of the period, patchy fog is expected at GCK, DDC and HYS with low cloud cover at LBL. At LBL, lower flight conditions are expected with the low cloud cover. Once the fog erodes and the cloud cover recedes, VFR conditions will prevail the rest of the period. Late on Sunday, some scattered storms are possible; uncertainty of all facets is preventing the inclusion in the TAFs. * * * * * Texas/Oklahoma * * * * * KGUY 151120Z 1512/1612 08015KT P6SM VCTS BKN100CB FM151500 13012KT P6SM SCT250= SPECI KGUY 151624Z AUTO 15013G22KT 10SM BKN017 24/20 A3008 RMK AO2 PK WND 14026/1608 T02440200 METAR KGUY 151553Z AUTO 13016G25KT 10SM FEW014 24/20 A3006 RMK AO2 SLP133 T02390200 METAR KGUY 151453Z AUTO 13015G24KT 10SM CLR 23/20 A3003 RMK AO2 SLP120 60000 T02280200 55020 KDHT 151120Z 1512/1612 10012KT P6SM SKC FM151600 15010KT P6SM SKC METAR KDHT 151553Z AUTO 13014KT 10SM CLR 29/11 A3013 RMK AO2 SLP136 T02890111 METAR KDHT 151453Z AUTO 12014KT 10SM CLR 28/10 A3013 RMK AO2 SLP133 T02830100 51010 METAR KDHT 151353Z AUTO 08008KT 10SM CLR 25/11 A3012 RMK AO2 SLP133 T02500106 Amarillo (KAMA) 06/15/25 16:43 UTC Radar VAD winds Height Dir/Spd(kt) 17000 FT MSL...319/029 16000 FT MSL...312/027 15000 FT MSL...307/025 14800 FT MSL...305/027 12000 FT MSL...275/014 10000 FT MSL...059/015 9200 FT MSL...057/017 9000 FT MSL...050/018 8000 FT MSL...063/019 8000 FT MSL...060/018 7000 FT MSL...114/020 7000 FT MSL...094/011 6200 FT MSL...140/013 6000 FT MSL...142/014 5400 FT MSL...148/018 5000 FT MSL...150/021 4800 FT MSL...146/020 4300 FT MSL...145/023 4000 FT MSL...144/023 4000 FT MSL...142/022 Amarillo Aviation Discussion Issued at 1036 UTC Sunday, June 15, 2025 .AVIATION...
