VFR conditions today, but MVFR to IFR conditions developing after
00z this evening. Drainage should shift off to the north by
around 15-17z as a weak cold front pushes through the terminals.
Winds will eventually turn to the east-northeast by the early
afternoon and should remain in that direction through the
remainder of the TAF period.
Main concern will be gradually lowering ceilings late this
afternoon into the evening hours. Guidance develops at least MVFR
cigs at the terminals, though there are still some timing
differences to work out. Expect MVFR cigs to develop between
00-03z (likely at BJC first) along with a chance of rain/mist.
Expect a BKN008-015 deck developing near or after 06z which could
continue into the first half of Monday.

VFR conditions through the period. Typical diurnal wind flow is
expected today and this evening. Around 06/09UTC winds will
shift to east as a cool front pushes over the Mosca pass towards
KALS. Winds may get a bit gusty towards sunrise, but will let
later shifts adjust these winds with latest data.
KPUB...
Clear skies during daylight hours into this evening. Easterly
flow is expected through the day, but a reinforcing surge of
moist cool air will push in around late this afternoon. THis
surge will eventually bring a low cig into KPUB, but this should
not occur until the early morning hours of Monday. MVFR
conditions are likely towards sunrise.
KCOS...
Light northerly flow this morning will become southeast by
noontime. Prior to sunset, a secondary surge of cooler windier
weather will push into the taf site. Cigs will lower and mvfr
conditions are expected by midnight, with cigs lowering to 015
prior to sunrise Monday.

Widespread MVFR to occasional IFR conditions for most TAF
sites. Another round of mainly rain pushes in west of the Divide
after 12Z and pushes to the east after 14 to 16Z Sunday. This
should linger with periods of light rain all day Sunday
afternoon and evening with MVFR to local IFR conditions if
rainfall becomes heavier at times. Winds will remain light to
moderate throughout less than 10 to 15kts.
Rain will linger towards sunset west of the Divide before
pushing east towards the end of the period. East of the Divide
TAF sites should see light rain through the end of the period
not letting up until after the 06Z timeframe into the next TAF
cycle. Patchy fog may occur at some sites, especially in
vicinity of KJAC where there may be some clearing after 06Z
Monday, but not enough confidence to include in the TAF at this
time.

Another complex forecast this morning for the 12Z TAFs as rain
showers will be present across much of southeast Wyoming
throughout the day and ceilings begin to fall as winds turn
easterly in the evening. VFR conditions expected to prevail
until 22Z, with KRWL seeing MVFR to IFR ceilings by 16Z this
morning. Winds turn easterly at all terminals by 22Z, with rain
showers becoming more concentrated along the Laramie Range near
KLAR and KCYS. Once easterly flow sets in, lowering ceilings are
expected through the night, with the Wyoming terminals seeing
IFR ceilings and the Nebraska terminals seeing MVFR ceilings.
Fog may develop along with the easterly flow for locations east
of the Laramie Range. Confidence in fog is low at this time, but
cannot completely be ruled out.

Precipitation has quickly departed to the east of the forecast
area this morning. Behind the progressing front, cold air
advection will promote expansive low-stratus development across
our northern zones to include the VTN terminal. This will lead
to prolonged MVFR and potentially periodic IFR conditions there.
Further south, skies should remain mostly clear at LBF until
mid-afternoon when some diurnal cumulus appears possible. Later
in the period, light rain will move northeast across southwest
Nebraska. This should bring -RA to LBF towards the end of the
forecast period. Confidence in this activity making it north to
VTN remains too low to include at this time.

GLD: Aside from a small potential for sub-VFR conditions
assoc/w scattered high-based showers this evening.. VFR
conditions will prevail through the TAF period. SSW to W winds
at 10-20 knots this evening may shift to the N overnight.. as a
modest lee trough in CO slowly progresses eastward into
northwest KS. Surface high pressure in the lee of the northern
Rockies will extend southward into the Central Plains Sunday
morning.. the leading edge of which will manifest as a
definitive northerly wind shift /modest effective cold frontal
passage/ around or shortly after sunrise (~12-15Z Sun).
Northerly winds will prevail through the remainder of the day.
Winds will veer to the NNE-NE and strengthen to ~20-30 knots
around or shortly after sunset (00-02Z Mon).. when the MSLP-850
mb height gradient will further tighten and low-level cold
advection will begin in earnest.

Will continue with PROB30 and TS/CB for KDDC and KHYS. Storms will
develop along a cold front this evening in the 00Z-03Z period. Some
of the storms could contain gusty/strong outflow winds. However,
confidence is not high enough to add these winds in the TAFs for
now. Just the PROB30 this far out in time. TAFs can be adjusted and
amended as needed for the 18Z TAFs, if a better indication of a direct
impact is forecast in the models. Otherwise, a fropa is expected
late tonight. Breezy northeasterly winds are expected in its wake
around 15-20 kt. SSE/SSW winds around 20 kt with gusts over 30 kt
are expected today before the fropa. IFR cigs could eventually develop
post-frontal towards the end of the TAF pd.

Low-level wind shear is ongoing at all terminals and is expected
to continue through 13z-14z. Otherwise, there is a low chance for
thunderstorms to impact KAMA starting around 22z through around
01z. However, due to the low confidence, have opted to not
include mentions in the TAF at this time. Mentions of
thunderstorms in the TAF may be necessary at a later time if
confidence increases.

Light and variable winds most areas of central and western NM this
morning, with stronger southerly gusts across far eastern NM
holding on. More widespread prevailing southerly to southwesterly
winds to return this afternoon, but not as strong as what was
observed Saturday. A cold front will back into northeastern NM
late tonight bringing a northerly to northeasterly wind shift.
