Today`s showers have moved out of the TAF sites and remain
generally north, east, and south of them all at this time, with a
few showers observed on radar over the mountains to their west.
There remain some uncertainties with this latest TAF package, as
ample moisture remains in place across the area for further
showers to be possible pretty much through the TAF period. Water
vapor imagery also shows a steady plume of tropical moisture
continues to move into the region, with a high-impact rain event
still looking possible for portions of Colorado late Tuesday night and
Wednesday.
The main impacts for this TAF package will be with low stratus
bringing periods of MVFR throughout the TAF period. Guidance
continues to show potential for another wave of light showers
later this evening before a cold front brings a northerly wind
shift in the early morning. We should see a brief period of SW to
NW winds before the cold front comes between 13-14Z. Light showers
will be possible with the front, and ceilings are expected to
gradually lower with the northerly flow. While some of the MOS
guidance shows a brief period of IFR developing between 15Z to
18Z, most forecast soundings keep the lowest ceilings hovering
around 3,000 to 4,000 feet AGL, with the best chances for the
lowest ceilings to occur at KAPA/KBJC. Have kept PROB30s in play
through the period, but these may be trimmed back on the next AMD.

MVFR to IFR conditions will mostly persist at KALS, KCOS, and
KPUB through the next 24 hours. Rain showers will move in and
out through tonight, with low stratus and possibly some patchy
fog as well. Clouds will remain low across the region, staying
within MVFR with brief IFR possible but not likely. Rain showers
will pause mid-late morning on Tuesday, before moving back into
the terminals later in the afternoon.

Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms are ongoing with broken
to overcast skies being reported at most TAF sites. These
conditions are expected to persist tonight before a break near
sunrise. Showers are expected to redevelop over southern
Colorado tomorrow morning. Winds will be generally light and
terrain driven under these showers. Where heavier rainfall is
present, expect flight conditions to vary between low end VFR
and MVFR, due to low cigs and visibility constraints. ILS
breakpoints will likely be met for some terminals and mountain
obstructions will be common.

KSLC...VFR conditions will persist at the KSLC terminal through the
entire TAF period. Chances for showers and thunderstorms at the
terminal remain possible this evening through 08z as a cold front
pushes through the area. The terminal is currently currently
experiencing elevated south-southeast winds, which is forecast to
switch to elevated northwest winds through much of tomorrow, with
gusts up to 20kts.
REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Chances for showers and
thunderstorms remain possible across most TAF sites through 8z,
especially at the southern terminals. A cold front will move through
much of the area, resulting in VFR conditions with enhanced NW flow
across all northern TAF sites. However, KCDC and KSGU will continue
to see chances for showers and thunderstorms carry in through much
of tomorrow.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms will be present across Wyoming
through sunset, with most terminals having a chance of a shower or
thunderstorm at or around the site. Showers and thunderstorms will
generally end from northwest to southeast by 06Z. However, isolated
showers are forecast across southern Wyoming, including KRKS, until
sunrise on Tuesday. Conditions largely remain VFR, but instances of
MVFR to IFR ceilings and visibilities are possible (up to 30%
chance). Occasional mountain obscurations are expected through the
overnight hours. There is a low chance (10% to 20%) of fog and low
cloud development at or in the areas of KJAC, KRIW, KCPR, KRKS,
KBPI, and KPNA early Tuesday. This development is dependent on how
quickly clouds clear overnight before sunrise. Given the low
confidence, there is no mention in TAFs at this time.
Gusty 30 to 35kt winds are also possible in and around convection.
Outside of thunderstorms, winds largely remain 12 kts or less at all
terminals.

For the rest of the afternoon into the evening hours, showers and
storms will lift up across the region with chances for all
terminals. Any storms could bring locally lowered CIGs and VIS along
with gusty and erratic winds. CIGs will generally be mid-level as
precipitation moves through, but will lower tonight as moisture
continues to overspreads the region. In addition, with the added
moisture, obscurations could form for KSNY and KAIA with BR reducing
VIS to 4SM or lower. Winds should pose no aviation hazard as they
will remain or become variable and light.

Expect mainly broken to overcast skies over the next 24 hours at
both terminals. Ceilings will generally range from 2500 to 4000
Ft AGL this evening into Tuesday morning. By Tuesday afternoon,
ceilings will climb to around 4000 FT AGL for the KLBF terminal
and up to 10000 FT AGL for the KVTN terminal. There will be a
threat for rain with embedded thunderstorms for the KVTN
terminal this evening with a threat for showers overnight at
both terminals. Within the showers, visibilities may be reduced
to around 5SM at times, especially at the KVTN terminal where
heavier intensity rainfall is possible. Winds will be from the
south tonight with a shift to the west, then northwest during
the afternoon on Tuesday.

For KGLD & KMCK... VFR conditions are forecast for the first 6
to 12 hours, though showers and storms may approach the
terminals. KGLD should have storms near the terminal around the
start unless the line that is about 50 miles west falls apart.
KMCK is more likely to have showers and a lower chance of
precipitation. That changes around 12Z when shower chances
increase, ceilings lower through 18Z to near 1000ft, and fog may
form. The remainder of the period is forecast to be a
combination of these conditions, potentially leading to poor
aviation conditions. Keep an eye on the conditions.

Conditions are deteriorating from west to east as a large area of
rain and isolated storms moves slowly east toward the RGV late
this afternoon. There are >80% probabilities that cigs will fall
to MVFR from west to east toward the RGV thru midnight then into
eastern NM overnight. Local IFR cigs/vsbys will occur with the
heavier rainfall then a period of more widespread IFR may occur
around Tuesday morning. The timing of storm clusters and the
larger areas of rain will be challenging so numerous updates are
likely to terminal forecasts the next 12 to 24 hours. Widespread
