Low to mid-level stratus, with variable bases between 020 and 060
and localized CIGS, are present across the Denver metro early this
morning and will linger over or in the vicinity of the terminals
through mid-morning (~15Z, +/- 1 hr). Latest observations from
KAPA also indicate a patchy near-surface deck a few hundred feet
above the ground, though don`t believe this is widespread. With
high clouds beginning to fill into the Front Range, it will be
become harder to monitor this low-level stratus. Needless to say,
cloud cover/CIG forecast is low confidence for the morning period.
Confidence in prevailing VFR conditions at the terminals rises
past 15-16Z.
Once past this morning period, VFR conditions should prevail for
the remainder of the TAF period at all terminals. No convective
activity is expected today. As for winds, current light drainage
wind will shift to prevailing east flow near midday, gradually
veering towards southerly drainage again this evening.

Dry weather is expected across the TAF sites this forecast
period, outside of a few light showers at the start of the
period. While VFR conditions are likely at ALS this period, low
ceilings this morning and once again later in the period will be
the challenge for COS and PUB. At this time, MVFR ceilings are
in place at both sites, and anticipate these to remain in place
through late morning. Clouds may not ever completely scatter
today, however, an upward trend towards VFR ceilings is expected
through the day. Guidance has these ceilings returning and
even lowering back to MVFR later tonight into early Tuesday
morning. Did trend the forecast this way, however, later
forecasts will need to refine the forecast. Lighter and
diurnally driven winds are likely at all sites.

diurnal shifts, with the next wind shift to southeasterly around 04z.
REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...VFR conditions are expected to
persist across all terminals through the TAF period with diurnal
wind shifts. Mid-to-high level clouds stream in from the southwest
through today as a system approaches. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms will develop across southern UT after 00z, primarily
impacting KSGU and KICX through this TAF period.

Possible fog development for JAC/CPR to start the period that
will bring MVFR ceilings (~30%) through 15-16Z before lifting to
VFR for the remainder of the period. Otherwise, expect passing
high clouds and relatively light winds 10kts or less at all TAF
sites for the entirety of the period. Dry conditions with no
other weather elements expected at this time.

Low clouds and patchy fog have moved in across the western
Nebraska Panhandle, impacting KBFF, KCDR, and KAIA as of 11Z
this morning. IFR conditions are expected to develop at KCDR and
KAIA this morning with low clouds around 600ft. The Panhandle
will not clear out much this morning, but ceilings will increase
to MVFR and VFR conditions by 18Z. The Wyoming terminals will
see mostly clear skies with patchy fog possible near KLAR for
the next hour. Skies remain mostly clear this afternoon for the
Wyoming terminals.

The main aviation concern will be IFR ceilings the next 24
hours across north central NE, including the KVTN terminal.
There will also be widely scattered -SHRA, and included VCSH at
KVTN 16Z until 01Z. At KLBF, an IFR ceilings near OVC009
possible until 14Z, then MVFR ceilings improving to VFR near
BKN035 by 16Z. A return to MVFR ceilings after 06Z. Winds remain
light below 10KT at KVTN and KLBF.

Conditions are expected to rapidly worsen over the next couple
of hours. It may be until closer to 7Z when the MVFR ceilings
form, but they will persist and likely lower throughout the
morning hours. KMCK will see it worst, likely dropping to around
minimums between 10-15Z. KGLD is only expected to get into IFR
range, but there is a 20% chance ceilings drop even lower.
Patchy fog is also expected. Extent and density is still unknown
with the ongoing convection. KGLD may see some light rain
lightly impacting the site before 9Z.

A band of rain showers with embedded thunderstorms will continue
to move through southwest Kansas this morning affecting
primarily the DDC, GCK, and LBL terminals through 16Z. Flight
conditions in general will be hovering around MVFR flight
category with occasional drops to IFR with the heavier rain
through 16Z. Once the rain exits we should see skies clear and
the return of VFR flight category for the rest of the time
period.

MVFR/IFR conditions this morning as a cold front has moved
through. Winds will be fairly light today, up to 10kts, out of
the east to northeast. Light rain at KGUY that may continue for
the next few hours. Otherwise conditions should transition to more
MVFR in the 18 to 21z time period, then we should be VFR after 21z
for the remainder of the TAF period. Isolated storms possible in
the southwest Panhandle today, and should stay far enough away
from Amarillo, but will amend TAFs as needed if a storm impacts
the terminal.

A gusty and moist backdoor front entering northeast NM will bank
up against the east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo, Sandia, and
Manzano Mountains this morning. A broad area of low clouds and
patchy fog producing MVFR and IFR conditions over northeast and
east central NM this morning will retreat toward the east and
gradually diminish on Monday morning, but probably won`t clear
Clayton until mid afternoon. Isolated to widely scattered showers
and thunderstorms will develop over northeast NM this morning,
then shift over the far east central and southeast plains during
the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will then increase in
coverage along and east of the central mountain chain tonight,
and may spread as far west as the Jemez Mountains. Also, easterly
upslope flow will result in areas of MVFR and IFR conditions in
lwo clouds and patchy fog across the northeast and east central
plains tonight. Further, east wind gusts from 25-40 KT are
forecast below canyons opening into the Rio Grande and Upper
Tularosa Valleys from Santa Fe southward tonight, including
Albuquerque and Carrizozo.
