.DISCUSSION...
A warm front will result in widespread showers and a few embedded
thunderstorms overspreading the region this morning. Widespread
rainfall totals of 0.50" to 1.50" are expected, but localized
bands of 2"-4" of rain are possible across portions of Rhode
Island and southeast Massachusetts. Winds will generally be light
but varying in direction through the day. Minimum afternoon
relative humidity values should range from 75 to 95 percent.
.Outlook...Monday through Friday...
Any lingering scattered showers depart the southeast New England
coast by mid-morning Monday. Otherwise a dry and seasonable
conditions are on tap for Monday into Tuesday. However, a brief
bout of summer warmth is possible Wednesday and/or Thursday ahead
of a cold front. Much of the upcoming work week will feature dry
weather. A few brief showers are possible sometime Thursday
and/or Friday...but it does not look to be significant.
