Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
407 PM EDT Fri Oct 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure continues to dominate the weather pattern over
Southern New England. A warming trend to temperatures continues
through the weekend with southwest to west winds around 10 mph or
less, with the first of several days of well above normal
temperatures starting Saturday.

Minimum relative humidities fall to around 35 to 45 percent
Saturday over the interior, reaching around 50 to 65 percent over
the Cape and Islands.

.OUTLOOK...Sunday through Friday...

Well above normal temperatures and continued sunny and dry
weather is expected through early next week, but this will be met
with slightly higher relative humidities and lighter winds. SW
breezes develop on Tuesday gusting to around 20-25 mph. A
welcomed rainfall is anticipated for Wednesday. A pattern change
toward cooler and more blustery weather is expected for late next
week.
