.DISCUSSION...

Expecting mainly sunny and dry conditions to round out the rest of
the day today. High temperatures will settle in the mid 80s.
Winds will be from the south between 9 and 12 mph with gusts up to
25 mph at times through the rest of the afternoon. Expecting a
mostly clear night with calming winds. Low temperatures fall into
the mid 60s. Saturday brings a better chance for high-impact
weather. Expecting a dry morning with an increasing chance for
thunderstorms through the afternoon. It looks like a line of
strong to possibly severe storms develops across western
Massachusetts and makes its way eastward. The greatest chance for
thunderstorm activity will be between 2 and 7pm. Risks from storms
will include strong winds, frequent lightning, and a low chance
for a tornado or two. Other concern will gusty winds ahead of any
storm activity. Expecting south winds between 10 and 15 mph with
gusts as high as 30 mph. Storms will exit for the evening and
there will be a chance for showers and steadier rainfall for the
morning hours on Sunday.
