Spot Forecast for Onset Festival...MASS Dept of Fire Services
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
954 AM EDT Sat Aug 8 2026

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1000 EDT on August 08.
If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National
Weather Service.

.DISCUSSION...
Very warm and sunny for much of the day in and around Onset, MA,
with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s and maximum apparent
temperatures in the upper 90s this afternoon.

Late this afternoon into early Saturday evening, pop-up
thunderstorms are expected to develop across western Massachusetts
and could approach the Onset area between 7 PM and 10 PM.
However, confidence in the overall coverage of storms is lower due
to their hit-or-miss nature.

That said, any storm that develops could produce lightning, gusty
winds, and heavy downpours. The threat for thunderstorms should
come to an end by around midnight.
