...HEAVY RAIN CAUSING MINOR FLOODING IN THE PROVIDENCE METRO AREA...

At 430 PM EDT, a band of heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms
trailed from Westport to Scituate, and was moving northwest at 55
mph. Rainfall rates within this rain band have been as much as 1
inch per hour.

HAZARD...Heavy rain causing minor urbanized and street flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minimal. Water on roads that flood easily or that do not
         drain well.

Locations impacted include...
Providence, Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, East Providence, Coventry,
Cumberland, North Providence, West Warwick, Johnston, North
Kingstown, Attleboro, Smithfield, Lincoln, Central Falls, Seekonk,
East Greenwich, North Smithfield, Scituate, and West Greenwich.

Do not drive through flooded roads or underpasses.
