608 FXUS64 KBRO 151115 AAA AFDBRO Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Brownsville TX 615 AM CDT Tue Jul 15 2025 ...New AVIATION... .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1012 PM CDT Mon Jul 14 2025 Dry conditions are likely to persist across all of deep south Texas and the RGV for the remainder of tonight as well as through next Tuesday as mid-level ridging continues overhead. Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies Tuesday become mainly sunny each day, beginning Wednesday, as subsidence aloft enhances from a low pressure system to our northeast, which may move into the central Gulf states later this week. Average temperatures and drier than average PWAT values continue Wednesday through Friday, with inland afternoon highs in the mid to upper 90`s while portions of the Rio Grande Plains soar to near, or slightly above, 100 degrees and highs at the beaches reach into the mid-80`s. Throughout the weekend, a slight warming trend is expected, with high temperatures gradually warming to mostly the upper 90s inland and possibly widespread lower 100`s near, and west of, US 281 and I-69 C by Sunday, lasting into Tuesday. Daily afternoon heat indices of 100-110 degrees are expected, potentially briefly surpassing 110 degrees in a few locations over the weekend and into next week as the low pressure system moves inland and lower level moisture increases. Near average overnight lows continue, with temperatures falling to the 70s inland and to near 80 degrees across portions of the RGV and along the coast. A moderate risk for rip currents continues into Tuesday along the lower Texas beaches. && .AVIATION... (12Z TAFS) Issued at 613 AM CDT Tue Jul 15 2025 MVFR to VFR will be the rule at the aerodromes through the next 24 hours. Winds will become breezy today before diminishing around sunset this evening. Partly cloudy, rain-free skies are also likely. && .MARINE... Issued at 1012 PM CDT Mon Jul 14 2025 Gentle to moderate southeasterly to southerly winds and slight to moderate (2-3 feet) seas prevail into the beginning of next week. Brief afternoon periods of Small Craft Exercise Caution conditions are possible across the Laguna Madre as moderate to fresh winds result from a locally enhanced pressure gradient. Mostly dry conditions are likely to persist. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
