124 FXUS64 KBRO 190507 AAA AFDBRO Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Brownsville TX 1207 AM CDT Sat Jul 19 2025 ...New AVIATION... .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1022 PM CDT Fri Jul 18 2025 Hot and generally rain free conditions are expected through the forecast. Rain chances look to remain below 10%, though a couple brief showers along the sea breeze, or overnight streamer showers can`t be ruled out. An upper-level ridge looks to remain over the Central US through the next 7 days, possibly building northwestward next week. This pattern will likely support a broad area of persistent subsidence across the region. At the surface, southeasterly flow will continue to advect warm, humid air to the region. Combined with generally mostly sunny skies, this will lead to a gradual warming trend this weekend and early next week. High temperatures will likely range from the upper 90s to low 100s through the forecast, with low triple digits becoming more widespread early next week. Heat indices look to largely remain between 105-108, though brief spikes to 110-112 are possible. The short duration of higher heat indices will likely not warrant any Heat Advisories through the forecast. && .AVIATION... (06Z TAFS) Issued at 1204 AM CDT Sat Jul 19 2025 Generally VFR conditions will prevail at the aerodromes through the next 24 hours. Light winds for the remainder of the overnight hours will become breezy on Saturday before diminishing around sunset. Clear to partly cloudy, rain-free skies are also forecast. && .MARINE... Issued at 1022 PM CDT Fri Jul 18 2025 Generally favorable marine conditions are expected to continue for the Gulf waters. Light to moderate southeasterly winds and slight seas will likely persist through the forecast, with high pressure firmly in place across most of the Gulf. Closer to shore, some increase in wind speed is likely each afternoon as pressure gradients along the coast tighten in response to daytime heating. This may result in wind speeds along the Laguna Madre reaching 15-20 knots during the afternoons this weekend and early next week. The best chance for higher wind speeds, and resultant Small Craft Should Exercise Caution headlines will likely occur Sunday or Monday afternoon. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
