.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1051 PM CDT Wed Jul 16 2025

Generally hot and dry conditions are expected to continue across
Deep South Texas through the forecast. Persistent upper level high
pressure will continue to provide broad subsidence across Southern
Texas. This pattern will likely support mostly sunny skies and a
gradual increase in temperatures through the period. The National
Hurricane Center continues to monitor a low pressure system over
the Northeastern Gulf with a 40% chance of tropical cyclone
development. Regardless of development, this system is not
currently expected to have a significant impact on Deep South
Texas, though an increase in swell and rip current risk along the
Lower Texas Coast may occur.
