Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front followed by strong high pressure moving
across north Texas into Arkansas Wednesday through early Thursday
will bring strong northeast winds and high and rough seas
Wednesday into Wednesday evening. The high pressure ridge will
weaken slightly as it moves across the southeast states later
Thursday through early Saturday, with diminishing winds and slowly
subsiding seas into Friday before strong southerly flow returns
later Friday into early Saturday. Winds and seas may briefly
subside late Saturday and Saturday night ahead of another strong
front early Sunday, which will bring a return of high and rough
seas and strong northerly winds. Small Craft Advisories may be
required Wednesday, Friday night into Saturday, and again Sunday
and Sunday night.

slight chance of thunderstorms toward midnight. Showers likely
with a chance of thunderstorms after midnight.
.WEDNESDAY...Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots, increasing to 20 to
25 knots with gusts up to 30 knots in the afternoon, then
diminishing to 15 to 20 knots late in the afternoon. Choppy on
the bay, increasing to rough in the afternoon, then diminishing
to choppy late in the afternoon. A chance of showers and
