Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure across the eastern Gulf will
spread west Saturday and Saturday night, with light to moderate
east to southeast flow and slight to moderate seas. A wind shift
is likely early Sunday, with moderate north, then northeast winds
and a longer fetch potentially increasing seas more into moderate
levels by late afternoon, continuing through Monday. A return to
light to moderate southeast winds is expected later Monday through
early Wednesday, before easterly flow returns. A generally long
easterly fetch may keep wave period at 7 feet or higher beginning
late Sunday, with seas potentially a bit higher than forecast.
