Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Marine conditions will continue to improve through
today as the pressure gradient continues to relax. However,
later this evening/tonight, marine conditions are expected to
deteriorate as southerly winds strengthen and wave heights
increase. Small Craft Exercise Caution (SCEC) conditions are
expected to develop later this evening/tonight and persist through
Wednesday. Wednesday night through Thursday, marine conditions
improve slightly as winds relax and wave heights decrease some.
However, Thursday night and especially on Friday, marine
conditions are expected to deteriorate once again as winds and
wave heights both increase. SCEC to Small Craft Advisory (SCA)
conditions are possible Friday/Friday night through Sunday. Marine
conditions are expected to show gradual improvements during the
early parts of next week.
