...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following
  counties, Jim Hogg, Starr and Zapata.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1036 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Zapata, Rio Grande City, Roma, Escobares, Viboras, El Sauz,
    Lopeno, La Rosita, Agua Nueva, Medina, Guerra, New Falcon,
    Morales-Sanchez, Falcon Heights, Falcon State Park, Salineno,
    Rio Grande City Municipal Airport, Falcon Dam, Roma High
    School and North Escobares.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
