...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN CAMERON AND WILLACY
COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM CDT...

At 217 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Harlingen High School to Arroyo City. Movement
was north at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Harlingen, San Benito, Raymondville, Rio Hondo, Port Mansfield, La
Paloma, Arroyo City, Combes, San Perlita, and Landrum.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate Highway 69 E between mile markers 15 and 34, and between
mile markers 47 and 51.
 US Highway 77 between mile markers 760 and 762.
 US Highway 281 between mile markers 822 and 824.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
