...Hot, But A Cold Front Is Coming...
.DISCUSSION...
Dry weather with abundant sunshine is ongoing today. Temperatures
are very warm, running in the mid 80s to lower 90s. Some dry air
is beginning to mix to the surface, and relative humidities have
begun to sink to 35-45 percent with occasional gusts around 15
mph. Little fire weather concerns are present, though.
For tonight, shower development is likely to already be underway.
Increasingly moist air will ensure good recoveries at or above 85
percent, tonight. Over the course of Thursday, intermittent
showers and storms are likely. There may be an initial period of
drier conditions as wind gusts increase to 20 to 30 mph, but
regional rainfall amounts are likely to average around 0.15-0.55"
of liquid with locally higher amounts around 1". Precipitation
should minimize fire weather concerns. A cold front will bring a
close to hot conditions into the weekend.
