...Widespread Shower Activity Tonight...
.DISCUSSION...
An approaching cold front will slowly move into parts of the St.
Lawrence Valley and northern New York later this afternoon, and
into parts of central and northern Vermont by tomorrow morning.
Southerly winds ahead of the front are gusty up to 25 mph at
times, particularly in the Champlain and St. Lawrence Valleys.
These winds will slowly weaken towards 10 to 15 mph by the
overnight, with some additional occasional gusts to 20 mph for
tomorrow. As the front moves through many locations in northern
New York could receive between 0.25-0.75 inches of wetting rain
tonight, and 0.1-0.5 inches of rain, higher amounts near the
International Border, in Vermont. Cooler and drier air will filter
in behind the front for the weekend, with a return to warmer and
sunny conditions for next week.
