.DISCUSSION...
Conditions are mostly clear right now, and so overnight recoveries
of RH have been good, with most over 80 percent at this time. A
dry cold front will shift south today. Wind gusts up to 20 mph
will be possible. Fortunately, although the front will have
little, if any, precipitation, there should be enough moisture to
allow relative humidities to stay at or above 40 percent, except
in the upper Valley. Still, given ongoing drought, fire weather
concerns are possible today.
Following the frontal passage, cooler conditions return on Friday.
The drier air mass will allow daytime humidity values to drop
towards about 30-35 percent. With high pressure overhead, winds
are likely to be light. Expect abundant sunshine with mid 60s to
lower 70s. The next chance for rain will be Saturday night into
Sunday. There remains uncertainty with the exact track of the
system, but it appears possible that we do not see much
appreciable rain from this system either.
