.DISCUSSION...
Despite dryness, lack of strong winds and minimum relative
humidity values above 45 percent should preclude fire weather
concerns. A few light showers could develop in St. Lawrence
County, and a spot shower is not impossible in the Northeast
Kingdom, but the rest of the region will remain largely dry with
south to southeast winds at 5 to 10 mph, except northeast in the
St. Lawrence Valley.
Temperatures are expected to be cooler Monday, with some showers
approaching from the west over northern New York, but dissipating
before making much eastward progress. Winds will become breezier
on Monday, with a few gusts 15 to 20 mph and increasing cloud
cover. It still appears like our best chance for wetting rain
arrives Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.
