.DISCUSSION...
...Gusty Winds and Rain Tonight Into Sunday...
Gusty north/northeast winds will peak tonight at 25 to 40 mph,
with locally higher gusts expected along the higher peaks. The
strongest winds will occur over higher elevations, especially over
southern Vermont, and also channeled down the Champlain and Saint
Lawrence Valleys. After peaking tonight/Sunday morning, winds
will gradually diminish during the day Sunday through Monday.
In addition to the winds, expect waves of rain to move through
the area, especially over southern Vermont where highest
accumulations are expected. Waves of showers will continue
through Monday, though there will be dry periods interspersed in
between showers.
