At 1239 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Westport Village, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Westport Village, Middlebury, Vergennes, Ferrisburg, Cornwall, Weybridge, Waltham, Bristol, New Haven, Panton, Addison, Kingsland Bay State Park, Essex, Westport, Ferrisburgh, Bridport, Monkton, Lincoln, Moriah, and Elizabethtown. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding.
