...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RUTLAND AND SOUTHERN
WINDSOR COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...

At 554 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Sharon to near Woodstock to near Mount
Tabor. Movement was east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Queechee State Park, Hartland Four Corners, Belmont, Brownsville,
Cavendish, North Hartland Dam Recreation Area, Woodstock, North
Chester, Ascutney State Park, Hammondsville, Ludlow Village, Tyson,
Proctorsville, Perkinsville Village, South Woodstock, Cavendish
Center, Weathersfield Bow, Pomfret, South Reading, and Amsden.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 89 between mile markers 1 and 7.
 Interstate 91 between mile markers 39 and 49, between mile markers
51 and 61, and between mile markers 63 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southern Vermont.
