Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western New York
National Weather Service Buffalo NY
404 AM EDT Thu Jun 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...
An area of deepening low pressure will drive a cold front across our
region today, with again showers and thunderstorms blossoming ahead
of the feature and within the peak heating of the day. Heavier
storms are likely to be centered over the eastern Lake Ontario
region, with humidity beginning to lower through the afternoon across
western New York, albeit with a gusty breeze off Lake Erie. More
comfortable conditions will then settle into the region for tonight
night and Friday...before oppressive heat and humidity builds this
weekend and into the start of next week.
