...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Lake Erie from Lake Erie State Park to the Buffalo Harbor...

At 611 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. A gust front from these
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm west of
Lake Erie Beach to near Sunset Bay, moving northeast at 30 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Van Buren Point, Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Wanakah,
Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Dunkirk, Athol
Springs, Bayview, and Sunset Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
