...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
Lake Ontario from Sackets Harbor to Cape Vincent...

The Saint Lawrence River from Cape Vincent to Saint Regis...

At 412 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 33 nm northwest of Ogdensburg to
35 nm west of Tibbets Point, moving east at 35 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Tibbets Point, Black River Bay, Alexandria Bay, Wellesley Island, St.
Lawrence River, Chaumont Bay, Cape Vincent, and Clayton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required when these strong thunderstorms
reaches the nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for
shore before these strong thunderstorms arrives.
