The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Lake Ontario Nearshore and Open Waters from Braddock Bay to Stony
  Point...

* Until 245 AM EDT.

* At 119 AM EDT, numerous showers and thunderstorms capable of
  producing waterspouts, gusty winds and small hail were located
  over the Lake Ontario nearshore and open waters from Braddock Bay
  to Stony Point, moving southeast at 15 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Oswego, Mexico Bay, Southwick Beach, Ontario Beach, North Pond,
  Ontario On The Lake, Selkirk Beach, Stony Point, Sodus Bay,
  Irondequoit Bay, Fair Haven, and Sandy Island Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.
