The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Lake Ontario Nearshore and Open Waters
  from Irondequoit Bay to Sackets Harbor...

* Until 245 AM EDT.

* At 110 AM EDT, showers capable of producing waterspouts and gusty
winds were located over the Lake Ontario nearshore and open waters
from Irondequoit Bay to Sackets Harbor, moving southeast at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Oswego, Mexico Bay, Southwick Beach, Henderson Harbor, Ontario On
  The Lake, Westcott Beach, Selkirk Beach, Stony Point, Sodus Bay,
  Fair Haven, Sandy Island Beach, Sackets Harbor, and North Pond.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.
