* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Chautauqua County in western New York...

* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 550 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over North East,
  or 15 miles east of Erie, moving northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Dunkirk, Fredonia, Westfield, Silver Creek, Mayville, Chautauqua
  Institution, Lake Erie State Park, Findley Lake, SUNY Fredonia, and
  Evangola State Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 90 between exits 58 and 61.
 Interstate 86 between exits 4 and 6.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
