The weekend weather system has departed, and after a morning of widespread low clouds and fog, a warming and drying trend begins today as high pressure builds back over the region. There is a monsoonal wave from the southwest that is expected to bring some showers and weak thunderstorms late Tuesday into Wednesday. Wetting rain chances are 10 to 30 percent. Thursday and Friday look like the warmest and driest days of the week before a cold front arrives Friday night. Next weekend should be cooler with a slight chance of showers, but the forecast beyond Friday is of low confidence at this time.
