Wind gusts 25-35 mph are expected with a dry cold front early this morning, strongest for areas north and east of Billings. Wind speeds will decrease through the day, with temperatures near 70 and minimum RH values 25-40% across the districts this afternoon. Moderate RH recoveries are forecast tonight (50-75%). Sunday will be dry with increasing clouds and temperatures in the 60s. RH values will be in the 30-45% range. A weather system will bring a low chance of a wetting rain Sunday night through Tuesday morning. The exception will be the Sioux Ranger District (FWZ133) along the Montana/Dakotas border where the chance of wetting rain is up to 50-70% Sunday night into Monday morning, and the Beartooth mountains Monday into Monday night (50-70%). The chance of snow accumulations are trending downward significantly with this system, but the best chance for some light snow accumulation will be above 10k ft in the Beartooth/Absaroka/Crazy mountains Monday and Monday Night. Dry conditions, seasonal temperatures, and breezy afternoons build over the region Tuesday through Thursday next week.
