Precipitation over south central MT will taper off this evening, with still a 20-50% chance of precipitation lingering in the Sheridan County, WY area through late tonight. Additional precipitation will range from only a few 0.01" northwest of Billings to 0.30-0.50" on the northeast-facing slopes of the Beartooth/Absaroka Mountains and in the Bighorn Mountains. Snow levels will be around 5000 feet this evening, with most of the accumulating snow of 1-5 inches mainly above 6000 feet. Upper air high pressure will then bring a warming and drying trend to the district Monday through late week. Next chance of precipitation arrives next weekend.
