A weather system moving across the region will produce considerable precipitation across the districts through today. The eastern plains of Montana into the Dakotas may be especially wet with the chance of over an inch of precip ranging from 40-70%. Area mountains will see several inches of wet snow at the higher elevations. Strong winds are also expected in some areas from the Big Horns to the MT/Dakota border. Once this system moves out we expect to see a return to seasonable temperatures and generally dry conditions, with just an outside chance of isolated showers over the high country from time to time. Breezy afternoons are possible for the latter part of the work week.
