Hot and dry conditions can be expected today with temperatures in the 90s and minimum RH down into the teens. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop over the mountains this afternoon, moving north and east into the evening. A few thunderstorms could be strong, with the main threat being gusts up to 60 mph. A cold front is expected to drop through this evening/night bringing north/northeast winds, much cooler conditions, and widespread precipitation through Wednesday. Precipitation totals look to range from 0.50 to 1 inch for most districts, with higher totals possible. Warmer and drier conditions return for the end of the week.
