.DISCUSSION...

A weak disturbance lifting through the region will bring a chance
of showers and thunderstorms to the fire site after 1000 MDT,
with additional convection possible this afternoon and evening.
Gusty and erratic winds to 40 mph are possible with thunderstorms.
Otherwise, hot conditions will continue, with westerly winds this
morning eventually shifting out of the southeast this afternoon.
Moderate RH recoveries can be expected tonight. A low level jet
over the area tonight could keep ridgetops somewhat breezy and aid
in ventilation. Smoke from fires in the Pacific NW may keep
temperatures a bit cooler and RH a bit higher than forecast.
