.DISCUSSION...

Terrain driven winds will prevail tonight with only modest RH
recoveries in the mid 40s percent. On Thursday, a dry cold front
passage around 0900 to 1200 MDT will bring breezy northerly winds
with gusts up to 20 mph and increased wildfire smoke to the fire
site. With this, surface visibility could drop below 6 miles
during the morning and afternoon, potentially impacting aircraft
in the area. Thursday night will see cool temperatures in the 30s
and strong RH recoveries in the 80s to 90s percent as winds
becoming terrain driven once again. Friday will be a dry post-
frontal day with lighter northerly winds around 10 mph. Look for
the chance of precipitation to return to the fire site this
weekend as seasonal temperatures prevail. Arends
