...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL BIG HORN AND
NORTHWESTERN SHERIDAN COUNTIES UNTIL 1245 AM MDT...

At 1146 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 24
miles south of Fort Smith, or 51 miles west of Sheridan, moving
northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Lodge Grass, Fort Smith, Wyola, St. Xavier, Bighorn Lake and Crow
  Indian Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may
lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.
