...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM MDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN CARTER AND SOUTHEASTERN FALLON COUNTIES...
At 1103 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
13 miles northeast of Ekalaka to 10 miles southeast of Ridgeway, or
along a line from 13 miles northeast of Ekalaka to 38 miles south of
Ekalaka, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ridgeway, Mill Iron, Belltower, Webster and Medicine Rocks State
Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
