...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 2 PM
MST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Periods of moderate to heavy snow expected. Total snow
  accumulations between 12 and 24 inches, greatest on west facing
  slopes where locally higher amounts are possible. Winds gusting as
  high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains and Crazy Mountains.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 2 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the backcountry will be impacted by heavy
  accumulating snow and blowing snow.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall amounts on the northeast facing
  slopes around Nye to Red Lodge are much less, around 3 to 6 inches.

A temporary break in the snowfall is expected Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Those in the backcountry should ensure they are prepared for
dangerous winter conditions.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8
  inches, greatest on northwest facing slopes. Winds gusting as high
  as 30 mph.

* WHERE...Pryor/Northern Bighorn Mountains.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 2 PM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the backcountry will be impacted by heavy
  accumulating snow and blowing snow.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Those in the backcountry should ensure they
  are prepared for dangerous winter conditions.
