...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Calhoun, Lexington and Orangeburg.

* WHEN...Until 300 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 103 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Up to 2
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    St. Matthews, Swansea, North, Pelion, Woodford and Thor.
  - This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 127 and 141.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.

Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid
traveling in this area. Turn around, don`t drown.
