Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
104 AM EST Thu Nov 27 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Behind the cold front, winds shift out of the northwest
today where a couple isolated gusts to 15-20 mph could be
possible early in the afternoon, but these are not expected to
be frequent. The main story today through Saturday is the very
dry air that fills into the region with minimum RH values likely
between 20-25% each day with spots into the upper teens. Luckily
Friday should see light winds out of the northwest before shifting
out of the northeast to east Saturday, but remaining light. Moisture
really ramps up Sunday and through the early week where confidence
is increasing in much needed rainfall Sunday through Tuesday before
drier conditions may move back in by Wednesday.

Fog potential tonight: Fog isn`t expected.
