Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1245 AM EST Sun Nov 30 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Moisture finally starts to increase today ahead of a cold
front, though mostly dry conditions are expected outside of
a few showers being possible this evening. Winds switch to be
a bit more westerly ahead of the front, remaining light, before
shifting back toward the northwest behind it tonight. Moisture
remains high on Monday but a mostly dry day is expected until
the evening and overnight period as the next system rolls in.
Winds move back out of the northeast Monday and may gust toward
15-20 mph. Monday night through Tuesday morning likely brings widespread
moderate to heavy rain where confidence in totals between 1-2" remains
high. Rain chances taper off through the day Tuesday before high pressure
brings back dry conditions Wednesday and Thursday. Another storm system
may take aim at the area Friday and Saturday, bringing back rain chances.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected tonight.
