Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1254 PM EST Thu Nov 27 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Near critical RH`s expected through Saturday as very dry high
pressure fills in across the area. Winds will steadily weaken
as a result into Friday, becoming variable through Saturday
with high pressure directly overhead. Winds turns more southeast
on Sunday and moisture will be quick to return ahead of a front
that will pass through overnight into Monday; a few showers are
likely with the front, but widespread wetting rain is not
expected. Northwest winds likely on Monday before a strong low
pressure system swings through the area on Tuesday, bringing a
good chance at widespread heavy rain.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected tonight.
