Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
135 PM EDT Thu Oct 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Gusty northeast winds will continue on Friday as a coastal low
pressure system develops. Moisture will steadily return on Friday
with dew points climbing into the mid-50`s as this low strengthens
and some showers are possible across the eastern Midlands and
CSRA. Much the same is expected for Saturday with breezy north-
northeast winds and some showers likely in eastern SC. The area will
dry out but remain breezy with north-northwest winds expected Sunday
and into Monday.

Fog potential tonight: Fog is not expected.
