Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
205 AM EDT Thu Sep 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Temperatures increasing into this weekend ahead of a cold front
with southwesterly winds developing over the area. Low level
moisture is increasing, although rain is not expected through
Saturday with dry air in place in the mid levels. Next chance for
rain will be Sunday as the front moves into the area, although it
is expected to weaken as it approaches with max rainfall generally
between a quarter and half inch. With relatively strong high
pressure behind this front, breezy northeast winds are expected
for the first half of next week with limited chances for rain.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected.
